Responsibilities: The Saint Louis Zoo is seeking candidates for our distribution & logistics operation. The distribution center is the hub for all shipping and receiving activity for the Zoo. This position plays a critical support role for many departments around the Zoo campus. The primary responsibilities of the position are receiving of product, loading & unloading of trucks, delivering products to areas throughout the Zoo and inventory controls. Some additional responsibilities related to event support and other duties as necessary depending on seasonal or special activities. Contributes to a positive and safe team environment and communicates well with supervisors and other Zoo staff where deliveries may occur. The starting rate for this position is $16.00 per hour, but may start higher based on availability and experience of the candidate.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Position requires the ability to lift and move product.All successful candidates for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check and a drug test. As this is a safety-sensitive role, a negative drug test result is mandatory. The drug test screens for five substances, including marijuana.
