Animal Care Keeper
Yellowstone Wildlife
Sanctuary has an immediate opening for a full-time keeper on our Animal Care team! Our Animal Care team consists of
three professionals, currently caring for a total of 32 animals,
all non-releasable native species of the Yellowstone ecosystem. Currently this
includes Gray wolves, red foxes, bobcats,
American bison, black bears, raccoons, coyotes, an American badger. common ravens,
an American crow, sandhill cranes, and species of birds of prey.
As a small wildlife facility,
we have the ability to really lean into individual interests, whether they be
acting as the primary trainer for an animal,
updating the old or building new furniture options, or assisting in the
education department. It’s important to our team that everyone gets to do the
parts of the job that are fulfilling.
The Sanctuary is located in
Red Lodge, Montana - nestled at the base of the Beartooth Mountains provides
access to beautiful hikes, and plays host to Red Lodge Ski Mountain. At the
front of the Beartooth Highway, we’re a short-drive away from Yellowstone
National Park, with the closest entrance being directly into Lamar Valley. Other
nearby outdoor locations include the Pryor Mountains, the Crazy Mountains and
the Bighorn Canyon.
